How's it going, neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com, and we're taking a look at the Inno Aero roof rack on our 2022 Chevrolet Equinox. Adding a rooftop basket to your Equinox is gonna help solve the issue that you're probably aware of as an Equinox owner of having limited cargo space. So having something like the Inno Aero system is gonna allow you to take advantage of that negative space on top of your vehicle to get those bigger, bulkier items out on the road with you. So for example, I have our Inno ski carrier on top with the snowboard on it, but you can also add rooftop baskets, enclosed rooftop boxes, tents, you're just limited to what the capacity of your roof and your bars are. Rhino-Rack ROC25 Naked Roof Roof Rack Kit Installation - 2022 Chevrolet Equinox- Video

How's it going neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com, and we're taking a look at the Rhino-Rack ROC25 Roof Rack System on our 2022 Chevrolet Equinox. Your roof rack is actually supported by your Fit Kit inside of your door jamb and the foot on the bottom that makes the contour to your roof. So once those things are fastened down, it kind of clamps across the vehicle giving you stability to your crossbars. The crossbars themselves are made of extruded aluminum, and it has an H-shape on the inside. What that does for you just gives you a higher measure of stability and rigidity. As far as how it affects your vehicle, your height from the roof is right at three and a half inches, so that's gonna give you plenty of clearance to use with most rooftop basket accessories. more

Hey everyone, Charles here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look at the Rhino-Rack Vortex Aero Crossbars with the 2500 Series Towers and a Custom Fit Kit on our 2020 Chevrolet Equinox. This roof rack is a great solution since we don't have a hitch or any raised rails to transport our extra gear, freeing up space in our vehicle. Rhino-Rack designed these bars to be aerodynamic, and that is partially due to its shape as well as the vortex strips here. They have the rubberized grooves here that allow for reduced wind drag and wind noise as well. They can carry up to 165 pounds, so just check with your vehicle's specification to make sure you can carry the extra weight. Speaker 1: Today on our 2017 Chevrolet Equinox, we're going to be installing the Thule Roof-Rack System using the Aeroblade Load Bars with part number: THARB47 for silver, THARB47B for black, and the Rapid Crossroad Mounted-Railing Foot Packs, part number: TH450R.These crossbars are going to be great for loading up bike racks, cargo carriers, kayak carriers, cargo baskets, boxes and many other accessories.The foot packs on these are very easy to install, they grip tightly and they work with a wide variety of rails. They have an integrated tool to allow you to tighten it down, put it back into place, and there's also a location to install a lock cylinder, using part number: TH544, to secure all your accessories.The end caps flip over easily so you can access your T-slots. Simply slide out your strip, cut it to fit, put your accessories in and you're ready to use your T-slots.These 47-inch long crossbars are made of a strong aluminum that's going to be durable, lightweight and have 165-pound weight capacity. Now it is important to check your vehicle's owner's manual to ensure that your roof can accommodate those loads.It's going to add about three inches to the height of your vehicle's rails. It's going to be about five inches from the top of your roof to the top of the rail. Rhino-Rack RS 2500 Roof Rack Installation - 2018 Chevrolet Equinox- Video

Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Chevrolet Equinox, we're going to be taking a look at showing you how to install the Rhino Rack RS2500 roof rack for naked roofs and it's going to include the vortex aero cross bars in silver with part number RRRS739.Now it's also available in black using part number RRRS739B.Here's what our roof rack is going to look like once we have it installed. It's going to allow us to free up space inside of our car and mount all of our gear onto the top on of our roof even without the factory side rails.Cross bars are going to be a low profile design. They are going to have a slim elliptical shape, which is going to cut down on a lot of the wind noise and drag that is commonly associated with roof racks.The bars are going to be a flush mount design so they're not going to extend past the legs of our roof rack giving it more of an OEM factory look.Now on the top of the bar here, we're going to have this rubber strip, which is going to help cut down on some of that noise as well as giving a nice sturdy surface to mount any of our accessories.Now if we pull the strip out, we can see that we can add any of our favorite T-track accessories and then we just cut the rubber strip to length.The bars themselves are going to be made out of a structural grade aluminum and have an anodized finish so that they are going to be rust proof.The legs of the roof rack are going to by nylon with glass free enforcement that are UV treated so they are going to stand up to the elements very well.A nice feature is that our roof rack system is going to include two keys and metal lock cores in each one of the legs so that we can make sure that our roof rack system is going to be nice and secure.Our roof rack system is going to be custom designed so the bars are going to be a custom length for our Equinox and it's going to come with the necessary legs and fit kit to get everything in place.Now our roof rack system itself is going to have a 165 pound weight capacity. So you just want to double check your Equinox's owners manual to make sure you don't exceed that weight rating.If you're looking to mount a ski or snowboard carrier, a cargo basket, or possibly even a kayak carrier on the roof of your Equinox, this is going to be a great option even if you don't have those factory brace side rails.It's going to be an extremely simple installation. So now that we've seen what it looks like and gone over some of the features let's show you how to get it installed.So we already have our first bar installed. Let's go ahead and put the second one on together.Our cross bars are going to come preassembled with the bar and foot packs already attacked. more

Today on our 2015 Chevrolet Equinox we're going to be test fitting the Rocky Mount Ouray roof rack system consisting of part numbers RKY3054, these are the Ouray cross bars, and part number RKY3002, and these are the flagstaff towers for the cross bars for the raised factory side rails. The Ouray cross bar roof rack system is great for carrying a wide variety of accessories on your roof while freeing up space inside your vehicle. The two bars have a combined carrying capacity of 165 pounds, although you always want to double check with your vehicle's manual to make sure your roof can withstand those weights. The bars have an aerodynamic shape to them, and that coupled with the rubber strip at the top will cut down the wind noise and drag while you drive. They also have this knock out at the front here. If you we're to take that out, you can replace it with a lock core system so this can be secured to your roof as well. Now with our rear load bar already installed I'm going to go ahead and begin by showing you how to install your foot pack into your load bar. You'll want to remove your end cap and take your foot pack and slide it into the notched part. Then you can go ahead and replace your end cap. With that being done we can go ahead and put our load bar over our factory roof rack. You'll want to feed the strap underneath as you can see there. more

Rhino Rack Roof Rack Review - 2015 Chevrolet Equinox- Video

Today on our 2015 Chevrolet Equinox we're going to be doing a test fit on the Rhino Rack Vortex Arrow Roof Rack System using the SX series foot packs. The bars themselves are part number RRVA118B-2. Thule Roof Rack Review - 2014 Chevrolet Equinox- Video

Today on our 2014 Chevrolet Equinox we're going to take a look and do a test fit on the Thule Crossroads roof rack system. We're using two part numbers today. First the Crossroads foot packs, part number TH450, and secondly we've got our 50" square bar, part number THLB50. Now this is going to be the minimum length required to fit onto our Equinox, but if you'd like to go with a longer bar setup, that's up to you. Now I've already got the front installed onto our Equinox so I'm going to show you, before I put the rear on, how the foot pack goes on. We've got a nice square tube here. The thinner portion should be facing the middle of the car. more

Thule Roof Rack Review - 2014 Chevrolet Equinox TH450R- Video

Today on our 2014 Chevrolet Equinox we're going to do a test fit on the Thule Rapid CrossRoads Roof Rack System. In our fit guide, it says to use part number THARB47 and part number TH450R. We have an exception today and that's that we can actually use a bar size larger. We're going to install part number THARB53 with the TH450R foot pack. This gives you six inches more bar. It's what they call plus sizing and it can allow some extra space for you mount items to. We already have the front bar installed on the vehicle. more

Thule AeroBlade Crossroad Roof Rack Installation - 2013 Chevrolet Equinox- Video

Today on our 2013 Chevy Equinox, we'll be test fitting the Thule Rapid Crossroads Roof Rack system using part number THARB47 and TH450R. We'll begin our test fit by placing the front bar onto the front of our roof. We need to make sure the rubber coated steel straps go around the underside of the bar. There are indication arrows on the top part of the foot which will tell you where the foot needs to rest on the bar. We'll then pop off the end caps and continuing to bring the straps around the bar and insert them into the connection point. We'll then use the included to turn the black bolt which will tighten down the straps up against the bar. Once everything is all tightened down and secure, now place the rear bar onto the rear of our roof. With the rear bar in place, I can again pop off the end caps and bring the rubber coated steel straps around the underside of the bar. After hooking them into the connection points, we can then again use the included tool to tighten down the black bolt which will secure the straps around the raised rails. Once everything is all tightened down and secure, that'll complete today's test fit of the Thule Rapid Crossroads Roof Rack system, using part numbers THARB47 and TH450R on our 2013 Chevy Equinox. . more

Thule AeroBlade Crossroad Roof Rack Installation - 2011 Chevrolet Equinox- Video

Today on our 2011 Chevy Equinox, we'll be test fitting the Thule AeroBlade Crossroad Roof Rack System using part numbers THARB47 and TH450R. With our roof rack preassembled according to the instructions, we're ready to go ahead and fit it to the vehicle. We'll set the front load bar on top of the factory raised side rails. We'll bring the rubber coated steel strap underneath the side rails and clamp them to each foot. After making sure the triangles on each lid are pulling directly over the side rails and that our AeroBlade is even with the vehicle, we can go ahead and tighten it down using the included Allen wrench. That will secure the front load bar to our vehicle. more

Yakima Q Tower Roof Rack Installation - 2013 Chevrolet Equinox- Video

Today, on our 2013 Chevrolet Equinox, we'll be test fitting the Yakima Q Towers roof rack system using part numbers Y00408, Y00732 and Y00124. Now, we've already gone ahead and assembled our bars according to the instructions found within the fit kit. We're ready to fit it to the vehicle. We'll start by placing our front crossbar on top of the roof. We'll then need to do a measurement. We'll measure ten inches back from the edge of the windshield on the roof. more
